To ensure a successful livelihood programme, the community members identify the business activity that is suitable for them in the local context and can be sustained. The community members are also trained by technical experts on the best way to promote the business. In order to enable families to enhance income and thereby livelihood, Navjyoti Smile Trust promotes interventions in the areas of agriculture (production, value addition, food processing, organic farming, irrigation, water development, product marketing etc), livestock development, enhancement of market access, skill upgradation of unemployed youths and community empowerment.
